There is a wide selection of lovely restaurants to choose from, nearby on Southgate High Street. These include fish & chips, Italian, Indian, Japanese, Turkish, Greek and Chinese restaurants, as well as traditional English pubs and a McDonald's, Costa Coffee, KFC and Subway.

There is a range of shops including Boots the Chemist, Marks & Spencer, W.H.Smith, Asda supermarket and a leisure centre with swimming pool and gym. Pamper yourself at the reasonably priced beauty salons, hairdressers and nail bars.

We are a short walk from the beautiful and historic Grovelands Park, which has a lake, children’s playground and coffee shop in Southgate.

Travel Information

From Stansted Airport to Wynchgate is approximately 1 hour. Take the standard express to Tottenham Hale. Change to the Victoria line to Finsbury Park. Take the Piccadilly line to heading to Cockfosters. Exit at Southgate.

From Heathrow Airport, Wynchgate is 75 minutes on the Piccadilly line northbound towards Cockfosters. Exit at Southgate.

From Gatwick Airport, Wynchgate is approximately 75 minutes. Take the Gatwick Express to Victoria.  Change to the Victoria line on the Underground towards Walthamstow Central. Change to the northbound Piccadilly line at Finsbury Park, towards Cockfosters. Exit at Southgate.

Or you can take an alternative route: Gatwick Express to Paddington (30 Minutes). At Paddington, take the Circle Line to Kings Cross. At Kings Cross, change to the Piccadilly Line towards Cockfosters. Exit at Southgate.

From Luton Airport Wynchgate is 55 minutes. Take a train from Luton Airport Parkway to Kings Cross St Pancras (25 minutes). At Kings Cross underground station, take the Piccadilly line northbound, towards Cockfosters. Exit at Southgate. 

From Southgate Station
When you come out of Southgate station, cross the Southgate Circus roundabout on the zebra crossing and walk past the HSBC bank into The Bourne. We are the second turning on the left. We are number 91, on the left hand side.

If you are coming by car, Wynchgate Bed and Breakfast has the advantage of being a short distance from the North Circular Road and approximately 15 minutes from the M25. We have off-street parking for your convenience.
